| A Baroque Organ Triology: Bach, Bruhns, Buxtehude Claudia Dumschat, organ von Beckerath Organ St. Michael's Episcopal Church, New York City
Organist Claudia Dumschat, twice recipient of the Claire Coci Prize for Excellence in Organ Performance from the Manhattan School of Music, and praised for her Bach playing by The New York Times as "brilliantly assertive" with "extroverted grandeur," makes her debut recording on the Pro Organo label in an all-baroque program which compares and contrasts the organ-writing styles of three major German figures from the late baroque: Dietrich Buxtehude, Nicolaus Bruhns and Johann Sebastian Bach. To illustrate the comparison, Dr. Dumschat has chosen a popular chorale prelude set by all three, as well as representative Preludes and Fugues.
