Getrudenmusik: Hamburg 1607
Göteborg Baroque Arts Ensemble
Ulrike Heider, conductor; Magnus Kjellson, organ
North German Baroque organ
Örgryte nya kykrka, Göteborg, Sweden

The Dedication Service for St. Gertrude's Chapel, Hamburg 1607, includes impressive double-choir works by Bonhomme and Lassus, a triple-choir motet by Jacob Handl, and the magnificent German Te Deum setting for four choirs of instruments and voices by Hieronymus Praetorius. This liturgical reconstruction includes use of the new GoART research organ in Göteborg. Program notes about the liturgy are written by Professor Frederick K. Gable. Also included in the booklet are the organ registrations, the disposition of the North German Baroque Organ, and a text by Hans Davidsson about the organ as a continuo instrument.
