The Wanderer is an anthology of organ works by the English composer C. Hubert H. Parry. While Parry is known for his popular church anthems, he also composed some signficant organ works. The most elaborate of these are his Toccata and Fugue on The Wanderer, Fantasia and Fugue in G major, and Chorale Fantasia on Old 100th. The program contains these as well as some of his short and colorful chorale preludes. The Girard College organ is a fine vehicle for displaying the breadth as well as the color of these various organ works.
