Scott Montgomery won First Prize in the July, 2006 competition known as NYACOP (National Young Artists Competition in Organ Performance) sponsored by the American Guild of Organists. This new Pro Organo CD reveals Mr Montgomery as a virtuoso with solid technique and with a keen and rare interpretative depth. The varied program covers the French Classic, Age of Bach, and the French Romantic, German Romantic and French contemporary schools. The organ is the large 4-manual organ built by John Mander for Peachtree Road United Methodist Church, located in the fashionable Buckhead neighborhood of Atlanta, Georgia.
