World Premier Recordings! Under the direction of Thomas Foster, this choir has gained a national reputation for a deeply intense and meaningful singing style. Specializing in contemporary Anglican music, this choir soars on long notes and can sustain the listener's attention, especially at slow tempos. The choir is complemented by their extraordinary organ-composer, Craig Phillips, whose "Hodie, Christus natus est" is included here. This is their debut recording on Gothic. World Premier Recordings! On their second recording for Gothic, the choir of All Saints Beverly Hills provides a superb sampling of the current state of contemporary Anglican hymnody. Included here are numerous familiar tunes with descants old and new, and a few first recordings as well Among the latter is a tune by Thomas Foster honoring organ builder, C. B. Fisk. The choir is beautifully accompanied by Craig Phillips on an organ refined by Manuel Rosales. In their second Gothic release, Tom Foster and the choir of All Saints' present a program of Easter music, including a significant number of first recordings. Supplemented by an eleven member brass ensemble and the organ playing of Craig Phillips, this CD shows why this choir is among the most highly regarded in Episcopal churches.

Young star Douglas Cleveland plays the remarkable Rosales organ of Trinity Cathedral in an all-French program which includes the rarely played (and wickedly difficult) Esquisses ("Etudes") of Dupré. Also included are Franck's beautiful and tuneful Prière ("Prayer") and Vierne's brilliant Second Symphony. In his first recording on the new Rosales organ of St James, Cathedral Organist Joseph Adam explores the soundscape of Parisian organists from the mid 19th century to the present. Of special interest is the recording "The Last Judgement" of Naji Hakim's, successor to Messiaen's position at la Trinité in Paris.  The Rosales organ is cast in French Symphonic style and is greatly enhanced by St James' reverberant acoustics. World Premier Recordings!  In addition to his work as a composer of religious music, Craig Phillips has composed a substantial number of works for organ as well as several chamber pieces scored for solo instruments with organ accompaniment. This recording includes works for a cappella chorus and accompanied chorus, as well as works for organ plus other instruments.
