Toccata in d minor and other Favorites
Flentrop organ, Duke University Chapel
Fenner Douglass, organist
This CD contains tracks from two of Gothic's most popular LP recordings of Fenner Douglass on the (then) new Flentrop organ of Duke University Chapel. Many organ favorites are recorded including Bach's Toccata in D minor, Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring, and others. Douglass plays with an energetic style that is in complete harmony with the original musical aesthetic. The organ is outstanding and it is situated in a large Gothic church with generous acoustics.
If you know someone who might be interested in organ music, this CD is a good place to start.
